Walser Markus

Scored his first +7000 score at the national Championships in 1999. He was the years best under 18 Decathlete in 1996. In the indoorseason of 2000 he made his first Heptathlon and scored +5000 points to become 4th at the National Indoor Championships. Into the outdoor season 2000 he started with good individual PRs and showed good improvements in the sprints. Late in the 2000 season he scored a Decathlon PR. After a PR in Desenzano in the spring of 2001 under bad conditions, he made a big improvement 2 weeks later in Götzis. The season 2001 was his best so far. He qualified for the european under 23 championships, and won the national championships, second became his older brother Thomas Walser. In Götzis 2002 Markus was on the way to a big PR but no highted in the Pole Vault. Just two weeks later he competed again in a Decathlon and set a new PR.
