Löbel Martin
Date/Place of birth: 27.8.76 Wien
As a young Athlete he started with the high jump, and also trained for the Decathlon. When his coach an Ukraine didn´t come back from his vacation, he looked for a new coach. He found a former 8 meter Long Jumper, and started to train this event with him. Later he switched to Roland Werthner, who helped him to make his first big jump to qualify for the European Championships, and to score +7000 in the Decathlon.
In 2003 he trained for a comeback in the Decathlon - in the indoorseason he set 3 new PRs (60H, SP, PV), but at the Heptathlon-Championships he had to quit after day one though injury of his foot.
