After the Meeting in Tallin last weekend Ambrosch tried a second approach to qualify for the European Indoor Championships. After a good start in the 60 meters, the chance for a good score was away at the long jump. He fouled his first attemped, which was a quiet good jump. The next tries where not far enough. His trainingspartner Roland Schwarzl did better in the long jump, and lost nearly no points in the hurdles. With 5,00 meters in the pole vault he made his best height ever in a multievent competition, so the way was free for his second indoor title after 1999.
Michael Schnallinger was back after a longer break because of injury. He improved in the pole vault and showed good performances in the other events also. He has a new technique coach now, Harald Sihorsch also a former Decathlete and trains in Salzburg-Rif.
The speedy Markus Walser was 4th at his first indoor heptathlon, and was the fastest athlete at the 60meters.
Erwin Reiterer surprised with a comeback at the multievents, but had to give up after the hurdles because of an injury in his back from the high jump.
At the shot put nearly every athlete had problems with the sticky surface of the new ground.

Pictures will follow later.
