Regional Championships from Niederösterreich (Lower Austria) - 29./30.9.01 Schwechat

 Gerhard Zillner wanted to become the first Athlete from Niederösterreich to win 5 regional Decathlon titles. It was not easy for him, he was suffered still a painful ankle injury. Also an old opponent from him Gerwin Cernicek made a comeback. But Cernicek injured his hamstring bad at the hurdles. At the Pole Vault he limped and could not approach - so he lost many points. At the javelin he surprised with a new meeting record. But at the end Gerhard Zillner was the winner.

Regional Championships from Vienna - 29./30.9.01 Vienna

The best athlete at the start was Elisabeth Plazotta who already scored +5000p for two times this season in the heptathlon.
This time she gad a bad start and felt in the hurdles. But she finished the heptathlon and had an easy victory.
At the moment the Decathlon in Vienna has no outstanding athlete, and all scores were under 5000 points.

From all facilities in Austria, where regional Chapionships are hosted the Cricketplatz seems to be the worst now.
If nobody starts to repair here something, the WLV must look for a new facility for his championships in the near future.
