First Day Jedermann Decathlon - 2.6.01 Vienna

 This years IAAF-Group has a small field of starters. Erwin Reiterer who was expected to start could not compete because of an injury. Also last years national Champion Thomas Lorber injured his ankle just a few days before the meet. He began the Decathlon, but had to quit after 3 events. So there were only four athletes remaining.
At 5:40 pm after just 3:40 hours day one was completed. With the hurdles at 1:50 pm tomorrow the athletes have a long time to recover.
