Jerome Clavier - 5,70 in Pole Vault

EAUBONNE: At Fridays 5th Meeting du Val D´Oise in Eaubonne, Frace pole vault competitions were the highlights. French Jerome Clavier went over 570 in second attempt and tried even for 576 cm. He was able to beat high quality opponents leading by another french jumper Romain Mesnil, Ruslan Yeremenko from Ukraine, Przemyslaw Czerwinski from Poland and Artyom Kuptsov from Russia. For 23 years old Clavier this means new overall best as he had before 565 indoors and 563 outdoors. European bronze medallist from Goteborg Russian Tatyana Polnova won the women contest with solid 450 and beat the german indoor record holder Carolin Hingst who in january went over 470 cm. Hingst pokered little bit and after jumping 440 passed the 450 and tried unsuccesfully at 460. Also Polnova missed three times this height. French record holder Vanessa Boslak started slowly the season with 430 (although she jumped already 434 early December).
