Intersport Gugl-Meeting: Saladino vs Phillips |
Long Jump Olympic and World Champion Dwight Phillips (USA) is going to compete against World Leader Irving Saladino (PAN) in Linz.
It will really be an extraordinary event as Phillips has made his World Best 2004 in Linz (8,60m) and again the second best in 2005 (8,57m) in the “Gugl” stadium. “I am not afraid of Saladino, it’s time to beat him – and the crowed will be us both to do excellent jumps”, Phillips says.
Harald Edletzberger – responsible for athletes’ liaisons is now starting with the speed events on the track. Dwight Thomas (JAM) will be on the 100m start list. Last year he won in Linz with personal best 10,00 seconds and he is ready to run sub 10.
