European Athletics Championships: over 1000 hours of TV coverage

There will be over 1000 hours of coverage on 55 television channels of the
European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 7-13 August.

Broadcast intentions for the 19th European Athletics Championships received by
the European Athletic Association indicate that there will be 1028 hours of
coverage over the seven days of the Championships and that 861 hours will be
live.

National broadcasters from 33 European countries will be showing the event and
in addition Pan-European channel Eurosport will show 47 hours of live coverage
across its 54 territories.

Outside Europe, the event will be broadcast by TBS in Japan, CCTV in China, DD
Sports India, the Dubai Sports Channel and Pan-Asian channel ESPN Star.

The European Athletics Championships is the most exciting event in the European
Athletic Association's four-year competition programme. A record 1370
athletes from 48 countries are entered for this year's event in Gothenburg.

The event is supported by the EAA's long-standing International Partners SPAR,
SEIKO, EPSON and EUROVISION. SPAR International has been the Principal Partner
of the EAA since 1996; SEIKO is the Official Timing and Measurement Company for
European Athletics Events since 1991; EPSON is the EAA's Technical Partner
since 2001; and in Gothenburg the EAA will celebrate 25 years of partnership
with EBU/EUROVISION.

In addition, the EAA has signed up two new International Partners for the
European Athletics Championships, INTERSPORT and GRUYERE.
